8 years ago tonight, my abuela Chale passed away. I miss her so much and wish that I could just spend 1 day with her and see her one more time. She was the best grandmother and she taught me so much and is a big part of the person I am today. I hope that wherever she is, she’s proud of the person I have become and is looking down upon me. Although time inevitably moves us all foward, I will never forget her and will cherish my memories of her. One of my favorite memories is riding in the back seat of the car with her as we would drive home from a family outing. When i was sleepy i would lay across the seats and would lay my head on her lap, her hand on my arm. It was one of the most comforting feelings. I love her always, may she rest in peace with God and the angels.
